WOMEN ARTISTS INSPIRATION: GEORGIA O'KEEFFE, MARUJA MALLO, FRIDA KAHLO, MARGARET KEANRE

Last March, during our Art and English lessons we worked on some famous women artists to commemorate Women International Day (8th March). As part of out school project "emocionArte", we learned about their lives, personalities and stories. We learned that many of them had a difficult life and that they had to try very hard to become artists. On our Art blog you can see some of the resources we used to discover these amazing artists and some of our creatiuons inspired by their art.

Third graders worked on Georgia O'Keeffe's creations.
You can see all their works clicking HERE.

4th graders worked on Maruja Mallo creations.

5th graders discovered Frida Kahlo and her love for self-portraits and made some Frida Kahlo portraits.
And 6th graders worked on the American artist Margaret Keane.

If you want to see all our creations, just go to our Art blog by clicking HERE.
In a different post we'll share some of our reading and writing activities we also used for this project.
