On Thursday, March 17th it will be Saint Patrick´s Day. Saint Patrick is the main patron if Ireland, that´s why this day is mainly celebrated in the Republic of Ireland. It´s also very celebrated in those countries where there are big communities of Irish emigrants, such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada... And nowadays it´s become a very popular and celebrated day around the world.
The main themes are the green colour, leprechauns and having Irish food. Doesn´t it sound funny! There are different Saint Patrick´s Day parades around the world. In Dublin (capital of Ireland), the parade is the main event of a five-day celebration; and the biggest parade is celebrated in New York.

El jueves 17 de marzo se celebra el día de San Patricio, que es el patrón de la República de Irlanda. También se celebra en aquellos países en los que hay una gran comunidad de emigrantes irlandeses, como el Reino Unido, Estados Unidos, Canadá, ...
